5Since 1996, Trend Micro hasn't let me down.
By Wayne Smith
Trend Micro has been so effective over the years that in 2006, after months of scans finding nothing, I began to wonder if it was working. At that time, a roommate bought a "new" computer (a store demo model that customers could play with), and since TM is usable on 3 computers and I only had two, with no plans to buy another, I told him he could use my last install. He did, and ran a scan on his "new" machine.

An hour later I dropped by to see how the scan was doing. I was stunned to see that TM had found over 350 infections on his machine and was still counting.

That was when I realized that it never found anything on my machines because it had successfully stopped anything from getting into my machines in the first place.

To date, I've never suffered any kind of infection in any of the many computers I owned and used since 1996.

5Best Internet Security Program
By VAPetlover
I've used Trend Micro for several years, and prefer it over Norton, McAfee, and the rest. It is easy to use, and very effective; runs weekly scans against viruses - but unlike the others, does not intrude on every web page you visit and try to block you out of everything. HINT: Don't do the auto renew thing. After many years, I found it is much cheaper to re-purchase it on Amazon than to do the renewal through Trend Micro! I finally figured that out 2 years ago. So, buy a new one, uninstall the old one, and install the new version. Just make sure you purchase the newest year's version and you are all set! Great software; has many features that are easy to use.

2PC became infected
By Charles R. Clark
While I had used this software for a number of years without problem, my PC became infected on three different occasions - one PC was ruined. The other two times with a new PC I had to use restoration discs and so I lost all files - but I had an external hard drive with back-up. I've switched to Defender anti-virus software and so far so good.
