3No software should be this difficult to install, updated
By Ruth Altheim on flickr
We have been trying for two days, approximately six hours time, to activate and successfully install this product on a 2012 Dell desktop with Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 installed. Customer service sent emails that were either not helpful or unintelligible, one email attachment was for the 2013 product! If we do not get this working on our next attempt, we are returning it to Amazon as uninstallable. I am a real person with a computer background with lots of experience installing and using software. This complaint has also been posted on Kaspersky's facebook page. I hope it helps to alert Kaspersky customer service that they need to fix their activation problem.

10/1/2013 Kaspersky quickly responded to my post on facebook with their customer service phone number, 5 stars for company responsiveness. Last night I was successful in going into my old version of the program and clicked on 'licensing'. When I entered the new activation code in the old program, it did extend my license to 2014. I still don't know if I am using the new program or have updated the old one. Not sure if a 2014 installation is any different from a 2013 with an extended license through 2014. Why is this so confusing?
After all this, on the Kaspersky web site it shows that I purchased both the 2013 and 2014 programs and 2014 is NOT activated. Maybe this is something that Kaspersky has to do from their technical side but it's definitely not reassuring that I've properly completed the installation process.

10/8/2013 A few days after writing my previous update on 10/1/13, my account is "activated." I think that was automatically done by the 'technical team.'
If it was automatically done when I found the 'licensing' tab and updated the codes, then why didn't customer service tell us this? My review, with the difficulties to install/update, stand. The fact that Kaspersky does keep our computer safe/protected is overshadowed by their poor customer service and customer service training on installation. If the price of renewal was the same from Kaspersky directly or from Amazon, we would have renewed online and probably avoiding the problems starting with a new box installation over an existing account. So Kaspersky, I ask you, the manufacturer, is the extra price that you charge more than amazon, worth the bad publicity from poor user experiences?

5Excellent Product!
By doncrites
I have used Kaspersky for 4 years and love it. It works in the background and doesn't take over your system. No virus problems in the last 4 years. Keep up the great work!

5Best Protection for your PC
By Alvin Davis
Kaspersky Internet Security is the best protection you can get for your computer. Just set it....and forget it...
It does the rest.
